Where are you spending Christmas?

What does Christmas mean to you? Christmas is the most magical time of the year for most. The lead-up to the actual day is just as important. As you see that day on your calendar drawing closer and closer, your excitement builds. The magic of Christmas is not about the material gifts. Even though I am a person who enjoys giving gifts because my loved ones' excitement is my present. 

Let’s not forget the feeling you get when Christmas music starts playing!!! No matter your genre, there is something for everyone. Driving in the car, making dinner, walking through the stores, the music heightens the experience of the season. Then there’s late night Christmas wrapping with lights twinkling. Christmas decor. Lights in front of homes. Wreaths. Holly. Mistletoe. Don't forget the cookies and the reindeer food!!! 

The anticipation is half the fun of Christmas and while the gifts and the get-togethers are a part of that, watching your favorite Christmas movie gives the believing a jump start. As soon I hear the bells in the beginning of A Christmas Story or “It’s that time, Christmas time is here! Everybody knows there’s not a better time of year! Hear that sleigh? Santa’s on his way!! Hip-hip hooray for Christmas Vacation”, I get a feeling in me even though I’ve seen them both probably hundreds of times at my age. The beauty of the spirit is that they don’t have to be Christmas movies, it’s whatever makes you feel good. I know tons of people who rewatch the Harry Potter series every year around this time. Die Hard is arguably not a Christmas movie but it certainly has become one over time as well as Funny Farm. 

Here at the beach, it can be a place to experience a different culture or enjoy a unique holiday experience. From escaping the winter weather to creating new family memories, to spending Christmas at the beach has many benefits. You can enjoy less stress and more relaxation, so you are ready to take on the new year. If you want to decorate for Christmas at the beach, you can use a palm tree as your Christmas tree and decorate it with starfish and seashells. You can also use string lights that are clear glass or have coastal colors.

No matter whether you're at the beach or in the mountains, you create your own magic and it's something a little different for everyone. But on that day, we are the people we always want to be, sometimes we need a little reminder of what is important!! Merry Christmas to all!!
