Spending St. Patrick’s Day weekend at The Beach? Lucky you! The Grand Strand offers plenty of exciting ways to celebrate the Irish holiday. From lively parades and family-friendly festivals to green beer and mouthwatering Irish fare, here’s our roundup of the best things to do this St. Patty’s Day weekend:
The 35th Annual North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Festivities is the weekend’s biggest celebration; one you won’t want to miss! Kicking off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, the vibrant parade sets the tone for a day full of fun. Afterward, the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring around 150 vendors offering everything from tasty food and unique crafts to local services. Three stages of live music and entertainment, plus a children’s area with rides and games, ensure there’s something for everyone. Rain or shine, this beloved event draws around 40,000 people each year and takes place on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, just a short stroll from the ocean.
Keep the celebration going with the festival! With three stages of live entertainment, you’ll stay in the Irish spirit all day. Enjoy performances by Irish pipe bands, traditional Irish dancers, and various live acts. Explore over 120 craft vendors and indulge in delicious Irish treats and festival favorites from local food stands and Main Street businesses. Don’t forget to watch street performers and mischievous leprechauns adding to the festivities.
For the little ones, the children’s area is packed with rides and games for all ages. Before wrapping up the day at 4 p.m., be sure to stop by the Information/Parks and Recreation tent to grab a souvenir t-shirt. Quantities are limited, so if you want to snag one early, head to the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center during festival week.
Get ready for a day of Irish cheer, entertainment, and beachside fun!
